A popular item as we head into the cool, dry months of winter is our lotion bars. Before we began Reed’s Bees as a business, we began making lotion bars for personal use. Connie especially struggled with dry, cracked hands in the wintertime. After being introduced to beeswax products, we decided to try our hand at making our own lotions, as we had already begun beekeeping and wanted to experiment further with our beeswax.
Our lotion bars are concentrated and all-natural. They include no water, no filler, no preservatives. Made from a combination of butters and plant-based oils, a bounty of rich nourishment, hydration, and healing.
Some of our favorite ingredients include:
Calendula, a soothing and moisture-promoting herb
Chamomile, a soothing and antioxidant-rich herb
Yarrow, a skin-firming herb that protects collagen and elastin
Jojoba Oil, a skin-softening oil that won’t leave your skin feeling greasy
Beeswax, a favorite ingredient that locks in hydration and softens the skin
